His grace is sufficient...

Heeeeeeeeeeeeey guys... thanks so much for your comments and prayers, I feel TOTALLY blessed. :)

This has been such a great week, isnt is the most wonderful, peaceful, joyful place in the WORLD to know you are RIGHT where God wants you... thats how I feel. I feel so fulfilled, so happy, so content, truly delighted and blessed.

My days during the week go something like this....

6 am, I have my time alone with God... it gets hot during the night without air conditioning, so its wonderful to get up early and go outside and sit on the swing in the early morning light and feel the fresh cool breeze from the sea... I am reading "The Cross Centered Life" by CJ Mahany and I totally dont know how to spell his name... a friend gave it to me and its really good.

Then my friend, Nicolette, from South Africa and I go running at 7... there are so many great places to run, up the mountains, past stinky sheep, country trails, its awesome.

8 am is breakfast, then everyone has a quiet time/devotion.

Around 9 I make all the tea and cold drinks for the break. They dont have ice makers or anything, so we freeze big bottles of water and then add water. Its a time consuming process.... the adults have teaching at 10 till lunch.

Then I play the guitar for the kids worship. :) Nicolette teaches the children and I help with the worship... its great they are kids and dont care how well I play. :) So yes, Brian, I can keep practicing!

Then I help the Italian cooks make lunch for 45 people. They are always arguing and talking with their hands... its so hot in the kitchen... they call me "Texana" and always wave their hands in the position of pistols... they think thats, "Texas". :) So I give them a quick draw...

Lunch is at 12 :30 then everyone has practical duties and then we rest.

Late afternoon we  go to the beach or internet :) and dinner is always at 8.

The weekends are free. The other day I attended worship with the adults and one lady was crying so I was able to pray for her.. and God so blessed me with Nicolette... she just finished a DTS just like me at the northern Italian base so we have so much in common about where we are in life and what we are doing. Shes a treasure and we are best friends already. :)

I keep thinking about whats next... but I want to rest from all that and just be here, you know?

Nicks and I are going running now... tonight, like every fri. night is a night of worship.

Miss and love you all! Tanti baci da Sardenga!!!! XOXOXOXOXO

Benvenuto a Italia!

Caro amiche... sono molto contento scrivete da Sardegna!! :)

Wow, thank you so much everyone for your prayers, my travels were sooo blessed and I know it was because of your prayers!

First, this random little girl bought me a bottle of water at the DFW airport because the machine only took dollar bills and I had coins. A sweet little first blessings. :) Then I caught my first stand-by flight to Cinn., then I flew first class to Rome, such a HUGE blessing. Upon arriving, I had five hours to kill so I went to hang with some friends I made at the information booth in the airport. They were so gracious and let me leave my luggage at the office and go to the beach with them and they bought me lunch on the beach. :) So cool, right? Then my plane from Rome to Sardegna was an hour late, and by then I was super tired and a little anxious about getting the right bus in Olbia (Sardenga). As soon as I arrived, the info. man walked me out to the right bus, the driver let me get on without paying (bc I didnt have time to get money) and the kind old lady next to me allowed me to use her cell phone to call my friends here. SO GOD. I just walked out the airport, got on the bus, and then two hours later, Ciro was waiting to pick me up.

I slept 11 hours last night.. my travels in total was like, 24 hours... but so peaceful and blessed. So thank you for praying!!

Now I am sharing a room with a really sweet girl from South Africa, she is 19 and here to work on staff like me. I think we will be working with the children. There is another girl from Scottland and she is here to translate a book from French to English, shes 22. We are already good friends and they go running every morning, isnt that great? God gave me to english speaking friends and they like to run like me!

This is where God wants me to be and I am so happy and so fulfilled. Im so in love with him. Its already SO NICE, not to have a cell phone, car, phone... ok, well, i forgot about the no air conditioning in Italy. :) It is SO HOT.  But I hope I melt and loose weight. :)

I am writing from the liberary.. and there is air conditioning here, THIS is the place to be.

I prolly gotta go, we work in the mornings, rest after lunch and go to the beach in the late afternoon. :) Its beach time.

Love you guys and thank you for praying for me!

One week from today I will be flying to Rome... wow, it came up super fast. This has been a really busy two weeks... theres alot on my heart and mind right now. It's hard to think about packing and getting ready to go away for 2 or 3 months...

The Lord is so faithful and so good and I really do trust him with all my heart.

We were able to go hear Selah at the Bass hall and meet them afterwards. Todd spoke some really encouraging words to me about missions and it was really special and meaningful. They are gifted people and so worshipful.

My favorite color is still pink...
